EU4ADVICE – Multi-actor collaboration dynamics and capacity building network inside and
between AKIS to foster the upscaling of SFSCs across Europe – is a Horizon project approved under the CALL HORIZON-CL6-2021-GOVERNANCE-01.
In line with the post-2020 CAP, the Farm to Fork Strategy and the Green Deal, the EU4Advice project develops enabling methodologies and tools to link advisors working on short food supply chains (SFSCs) within a shared network, with the aim of supporting the scaling-up of consumer–producer chains across Europe.
SFSCs enable producers to strengthen their bargaining power and improve their position within the value chain, while allowing consumers to increase trust, transparency, and confidence in the quality and safety of their food. Political and socio-economic barriers and gaps need to be addressed to expand the reach of consumer–producer chains across Europe, and EU4Advice provides relevant stakeholders with the tools needed to overcome them. A key challenge in achieving this objective is strengthening national AKIS by introducing new governance models that facilitate the integration of SFSC advisory services.
